I was always interested in art, even though I didn’t think I could make a living at it, I still went on to study Fine arts and Architecture for a while, but decided to also do my second interest which was the military, so I enlisted in the US Marine Corp Reserves as a backup. I ended up liking the military life so much that I went on active duty, first in the Marines, and later on in the Air Force, until I completed a 32 year military career. Now retired and with a renewed passion for art, I have begun my second career. It is my pleasure and honor to have you visit here; I like painting and drawing very much, but having people view and appreciate my work, makes it more worthwhile. My art inspiration comes from many sources, mostly from my own life experiences, so my vision is to convey those experiences and ideas to you the viewer, to provoke thought and feeling… I decided not to let myself become the prey of the art market. After all, the phrase “starving artist” wasn’t created for nothing. I wanted to be financially self-sufficient first, before I started painting as a career, thus freeing my personal approach to my art, this way I could paint from the heart letting my ideas, thoughts and feelings flow freely, without ever being subjected to the agonies of having to sell something to cover the expenses of my family. This has assuredly given me peace of mind and total freedom to dwell where and when I want in my art. For example, one type of art that I’m very passionate about is what I call Religious art.  Art work that provides sort of a message, not really hidden but not exactly out in the open either, the viewer… “You”, have to focus in close to find the full meaning.
